Longarm Quilting
Creative Framing & Gallery offers longarm quilting services at affordable prices. Charlene has been sewing most of her adult life and in the last several years she has been quilting quilt tops using an HQ 18 Avante computerized longarm machine. All quilt tops are quilted from edge-to-edge using any of the patterns listed. More patterns will be added in the future. We will treat your quilt as if it was ours. Quilts are stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. Quilts can be mailed or dropped off to us. If mailed, we will notify you by email that we received it and when finished it will be shipped back to you by Priority USPS with tracking and insurance. If you have questions, please call us! Charlene will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
Listed are some things to do that will help ensure a beautiful Quilt…
If shipping place quilt top in plastic bag for added protection. We also suggest that you insure the package when you ship it. Be sure to include your phone number, address, and email, include special instructions.
Press your quilt top and press bulky seams open, this will ensure a flat top that quilts out well.
Quilt tops and backing should be squared up and trimmed.
Remove any loose threads from your quilt top.
Don’t add embellishments such as buttons, ribbons etc. till after it is quilted.
If you are supplying your own batting or backing be sure that it is at least 6 inches larger than the quilt top (example 90” X 90” top the batting and backing should be 96” X 96”).
If you supply a sheet for backing be sure you select a low thread count, a high thread count doesn’t quilt very well, also remove the thread in the hem of the top and bottom of the sheet.
If your quilt top or backing has a top or bottom, please pin a note to the top indicating so.
We quilt with white thread but if you want a different thread color let us know we have access to many colors and will try to match it as close as we can.
